Training 2009

Transformative Mindfulness Facilitator Certificate Training was completed in March 2010 by medical and social services professionals at the University of Florence by Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw with Valentina Dolara, who translated and coordinated. Prof. Piero Dolara offered administrative and academic supervision. After several on-site training sessions over two years, the practice section of the training was supervised via webcam over 5 months.

The first Master's program in Mindfulness and Transformative Mindfulness is now being planned at the University of Florence, Italy, championed by Prof. Piero Dolara, Head of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Valentina Dolara and Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw.  Research will begin in the fall at the Centre for Pain Management at the University beginning with the effectiveness of these methods with migraines.

The following training and introductory workships are being offered by Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw in 2010. See below for more info on trainings.

This 2-day introduction offers you tools to improve your life, help your family and community. Experiential and life-changing.  16 Guidelines For Life is being introduced in schools, youth programs, corporate and social services internationally. Following on from these two days, you can optionally attend a regular program at the centre that deepens your experience and support as you integrate these into your life, work and community.

The follow-on training is for those who have attended 16 Guidelines evenings, previous workshops or intensives and would like to introduce the 16 Guidelines for Life to organizations, schools, groups and social services to encourage collaboration for future programs that can help uplift our communities. Together we will design and practice different tools for helping people to explore these qualities and how they can integrate them at a grassroots level.
